CHROME WEB STORE

Extension Privacy Policy

For Teams Web Status Keeper · Effective and last updated August 26, 2026

1. Scope and single purpose

This policy applies to the DooToob Chrome extension Teams Web Status Keeper. Its single purpose is to periodically apply the Microsoft Teams presence status selected by the user in Teams on the web.

2. Data collection

DooToob does not collect, receive, transmit, or remotely store personal information or sensitive user data through the extension. The extension does not collect browsing history, search history, Teams messages, contacts, credentials, authentication information, form data, or website content.

3. Local extension data

Like other privacy-focused extensions, Teams Web Status Keeper uses Chrome’s local storage only to retain the user’s operational settings: selected presence status, timing preferences, enabled state, and the identifier of the Teams tab it is using. This configuration remains on the user’s device and is not transmitted to DooToob or third parties. Users can clear it by resetting the extension, clearing extension data, or uninstalling the extension.

4. Permissions

The extension uses the minimum permissions needed for its disclosed purpose: alarms schedules status maintenance; storage remembers local settings; tabs finds or opens the Teams web tab; and access to Microsoft Teams web addresses lets the extension apply the selected status. These permissions are not used to collect or track user activity.

5. Use, sharing, sale, and Limited Use

Because no user data is transmitted to DooToob, we do not use, sell, rent, disclose, or transfer extension user data. We do not use data for personalized advertising, credit decisions, data brokerage, surveillance, or tracking across websites. Humans at DooToob do not read user data handled by the extension.

The extension’s use of information received from Chrome APIs is limited to providing and improving its single user-facing purpose and complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Security, retention, and deletion

The extension does not transmit user information to a developer-controlled server. Locally stored settings remain until the user changes or clears them or uninstalls the extension. Since DooToob does not possess that local information, DooToob cannot access or delete it remotely.

7. Children, changes, and contact

The extension is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children. If functionality or data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before or when the change is released. Questions may be sent through our contact page.
