Update Repair Tool for Windows does not collect, store, sell or share any personal information. It has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics.
The app works only on the PC it is installed on. At your request it stops and starts Windows Update services, clears Windows Update cache folders, removes Windows Update policy settings (after saving a backup in your Documents folder), and runs built-in Windows tools such as DISM, SFC and the Windows Time service. Every change is shown in the app's console.
The app connects only to Microsoft servers. It uses them to test that the Windows Update servers can be reached, to synchronise the clock through the Windows Time service, and to check for updates through the Windows Update service. No information about you is sent to us or to anyone else.
If you click Export Report, the app saves a folder of Windows Update logs to your Desktop. It stays on your PC; the app never uploads it. You decide whether to share it with anyone.
